The Pomona 5K/10K celebrates its 8th anniversary on Saturday, October 19, 2024. Take the opportunity to be part of this historic milestone. With an average of 700 running participants and over 300 spectators in Downtown Pomona to cheer on all the runners, this event is a premier community event in the City of Pomona with a broad reach.
Race Background
The Pomona 5K was born in 2016, with the vision of creating a community-driven running event in the heart of Downtown Pomona. The Pomona 5K is a partnership between Pomona Valley Runners, a local running group, and various community organizations including God’s Pantry, a community-based nonprofit organization. This event has been coordinated by a core group of dedicated community leaders from Pomona who volunteer their time to put on this event from the ground up.
