Principal's Message
Dear San Antonio Families and Community,
I am thrilled to welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year. It is an honor and a privilege to serve as your principal for a second year, and work with the students, staff, and parents of this wonderful community.
Our mission at San Antonio is to educate the whole child to succeed in a global society. Our educational philosophy is that all students can learn when they are in a nurturing and challenging environment. Our goal is to create a culture that promotes independent thinking and life-long learning. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said it best, “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character- that is the true goal of education.” This year, we will continue to work within our mission and philosophy to help each student reach our goal.
Student class lists will be posted the evening before the first day of school at 5:00 PM, in the front of the school and at each entrance gate. You will be able to see your child’s teacher assignment and classroom number. We will also provide you with a video link with information for the first week of school via REMIND.
Kindergarten parents are invited to attend parent orientation on August 10, 2022, from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. to meet their child’s teacher and go over kindergarten schedules and routines.
The first day of school will be Thursday, August 11, 2022. School begins at 8:05 a.m. please ensure that your student arrives on campus in a timely manner. Like always, attendance is important we strongly encourage all of our Tigers to have great attendance. If your child will be having breakfast on campus, breakfast service begins at 7:30 a.m. Breakfast is served to all of our students through our Food and Nutrition Services department free of cost.
The schedule for the 1st week of school for 1st – 5th grade is as follows:
- Thursday, August 11, 2022 (8:05 a.m. – 1:25 p.m.)
- Friday, August 12, 2022 (9:00 a.m. – 1:25 p.m.) Please note there will be LATE START FRIDAY this day.
- Monday, August 15, 2022 (8:05 a.m. – 2:26 p.m. 1st -3rd) (8:05 a.m. – 2:55 p.m. 4th & 5th)
The regular school schedule resumes the week of August 15th - all Wednesdays are early dismissal at 1:25 p.m. Please consult the bell schedule for more detail.
The schedule for the 1st week of school for KINDERGARTEN grade is as follows:
- Thursday, August 11, 2022 (8:05 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)
- Friday, August 12, 2022 (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.) Please note there will be LATE START FRIDAY this day.
